Among the anniversary, commemorative and investment coins issued annually by the Russian Federation, a special role is assigned to coins made of gold. Such copies cannot be found in free circulation. As a rule, they are intended not only for collecting, but also for investment, since their actual value at the time of release is many times higher than the face value. And over time, under the influence of the market situation and consumer demand, the value increases even more, up to seven-digit numbers.
"Heavyweights"
The first two gold coins of Russia, the price of the precious metal in which exceeds 1.5 million rubles, were minted in 1996–97. in the investment series “Save our world”, with a nominal value of 10 thousand rubles. The weight of each of them is 1 kg of pure gold, which determines such a huge face value. The “heroes” depicted on the obverse of the precious coins are the polar bear and the Amur tiger - unique symbols of the animal world of Russia.
In the period from 1996 to 2014, the “golden collection” of kilogram metal money was regularly replenished, and currently includes 28 types. The minimum circulation was only 25 pieces, and coins dedicated to the Olympic Games in Sochi were issued in the amount of 250 copies.
Among the “heavyweights” there are their own record holders - 25,000 rubles, whose weight reaches 3 kg. From 2008 to the present day, 4 varieties have already been released in the Russian Federation, in which only the price of the noble metal used for minting was about ₽5,000,000.
But the most valuable and largest and, accordingly, the most expensive coins were made of pure gold 999 in denomination of 50,000 rubles, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Bank of the Russian Federation (2010) and the 175th anniversary of savings in Russia (2016). The production of each copy took 5 kg of precious metal!
Precious metals and coinsJSC AB RUSSIA provides individuals and legal entities with services for the sale of Russian commemorative and investment coins made of gold and silver, issued by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, as well as foreign coins made of precious metals.
The impeccable quality of the minting of Russian coins is guaranteed by the Moscow and St. Petersburg mints, and the artistic design of the coins has received high marks from international experts and numismatists. Foreign coins made of precious metals are represented by series popular in many countries, minted by the leading mints of the world. Foreign coins have a variety of minting technologies, original designs and unique designs. Investment coins made of precious metals are a proven and reliable tool for preserving and increasing funds. Commemorative coins made of precious metals can be a successful gift, a memorable souvenir, or a collectible. Also, the Bank's clients can use another investment tool - an impersonal metal account (UMA).
Compulsory medical insurance is an analogue of a regular ruble account, to which, instead of money, the Bank credits the client’s chosen precious metal in grams at a cost calculated on the basis of current world prices for precious metals.
JSC AB RUSSIA has a license to attract deposits and place precious metals No. 328 dated September 1, 2016.
Unallocated metal accounts
To open a metal account, the client only needs a passport and a current account with the Bank in Russian rubles (if there is no current account, it is opened simultaneously with compulsory medical insurance). There is no fee for opening a compulsory medical insurance.
